Welcome to Laurel and Hound (“Laurel & Hound,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, products, and services (collectively, the “Services”). By visiting our site or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Return & Refund Policy.

If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2) Eligibility & Account

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to purchase. You may need an account to access certain features. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

3) Products, Made-to-Order & Personalization

Most items are produced made-to-order. Personalized items (e.g., names, dates, custom text) are created from the details you provide—please review carefully before submitting. Minor variations in color/brightness and print placement can occur due to device displays and the print process; such variations are normal and not considered defects.

4) Ordering & Acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy; we may accept or reject any order at our discretion (for example, due to suspected fraud, stock/provider issues, or errors). We will notify you if an order cannot be fulfilled after purchase and issue a refund where applicable. Orders that include personalization may be held for manual review.

Changes & cancellations: Because items are made-to-order, requests to change or cancel are only possible within 2 hours of purchase. After production begins, we cannot modify or cancel the order.

5) Pricing, Taxes & Promotions

Prices are shown in USD unless indicated otherwise and are subject to change without notice. Sales tax and/or duties may apply based on your shipping address and will be calculated at checkout. Promotions or discount codes may be limited by time, quantity, or product type and may not be combined unless stated.

We aim for accuracy, but errors (price, description, availability) may occur; we reserve the right to correct errors and cancel or adjust orders accordingly.

6) Payments

We accept major cards and certain digital wallets via Shopify Payments and may offer PayPal or other methods from time to time. By submitting a payment, you represent you are authorized to use that payment method. All payments are subject to validation and authorization by the payment processor(s).

7) Shipping & Delivery

Production typically takes 3–7 business days; shipping times vary by destination and carrier. Some items may ship separately. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier accepts the shipment. Once an order is marked Delivered, please allow up to 48 hours and check with neighbors/building management before contacting us or the carrier about a missing package.

International customers are responsible for any customs, duties, or import fees.

8) Returns, Replacements & Refunds

Please review our Return & Refund Policy (incorporated by reference). In brief:

• Personalized items are final sale except for manufacturing defects or damage in transit.

• Non-personalized items may be eligible for return within 30 days if unused and in original condition.

• For defects/damage/incorrect items, contact orders@laurelandhound.com within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number.

9) Intellectual Property

All content on the site—including designs, patterns, graphics, text, logos, photos, and the Laurel & Hound name and crest—is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

User Content (e.g., reviews, photos)

If you submit reviews, comments, or images, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that content for marketing and operational purposes. We will never repost personal images without explicit consent. You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to the content you submit.

10) Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes;

• Interfere with site security or attempt to access non-public areas;

• Upload or submit content that violates rights of others, contains hate speech, or infringes IP.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

11) Third-Party Services & Links

We use third parties to provide portions of the Services (e.g., print providers, payment processors, shipping carriers). Your use of third-party services may be subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services not controlled by us.

12) Disclaimers

THE SERVICES AND ALL PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

13) Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LAUREL & HOUND (AND OUR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS) WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR PRODUCTS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR THE PRODUCT(S) AT ISSUE IN THE 3 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; the above may not apply to you to the extent prohibited by law.

14) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Laurel & Hound harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

15) Governing Law; Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [West Virginia], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the federal laws of the United States. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in [Berkeley County, West Virginia] for any dispute that is not subject to informal resolution or small-claims court.

Before filing any claim, the parties will first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by email for 30 days. Either party may bring qualifying claims in small-claims court.

16) Changes to the Services or Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the new Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

17) Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. These Terms, together with any policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Laurel & Hound regarding the Services and supersede any prior agreements.
