Shipping Policy

At Laurel and Hound, each item is produced made-to-order. This policy explains production times, shipping methods, costs, and how we handle issues in transit.

Where we ship

  • United States: all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

  • International: not available at this time. If you have a request, email orders@laurelandhound.com.

Production (before shipping)

  • Standard production time: 3–7 business days.

  • Orders with personalization may require an additional 1 business day for manual review and proofing.

  • Multi-item orders may be produced at different facilities and ship separately.

Estimated transit times (after production)

  • Contiguous U.S.: 3–8 business days

  • Alaska & Hawaii: 5–12 business days

  • Delivery windows are estimates provided by carriers and can extend during peak seasons or severe weather.

We do not guarantee delivery dates. Production and transit times are separate.

Shipping methods & carriers

  • We use tracked, ground-service carriers (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx).

  • Carrier selection is automatic based on destination, item type, and service level.

  • Expedited shipping is not available for made-to-order items.

Rates

  • Shipping is calculated at checkout based on destination, item type, and carrier rates.

  • Any promotional free-shipping thresholds will be shown at checkout when available.

Tracking

  • You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link when any item in your order ships.

  • If your order ships in multiple parcels, you will receive separate tracking for each parcel.

Address accuracy

  • Please review your shipping address carefully at checkout.

  • Changes or cancellations are possible within 2 hours of placing the order by emailing orders@laurelandhound.com.

  • Orders returned to us due to an incorrect or undeliverable address may incur a re-shipment fee.

PO Boxes, APO/FPO

  • Some carriers cannot deliver certain items to PO Boxes or APO/FPO/DPO addresses. If a street address is required, we will contact you.

Lost, delayed, or stolen packages

  • If tracking shows Delivered but you cannot locate the parcel, please allow 48 hours, check with neighbors/building management, and contact the carrier.

  • If tracking shows no movement for 7 business days, email orders@laurelandhound.com with your order number and tracking link.

  • We will assist with a carrier trace. Replacements or refunds for lost or stolen packages are handled case-by-case once the carrier investigation is complete.

Damaged or incorrect items

  • Please inspect your order upon delivery. If an item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, email orders@laurelandhound.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number, a brief description, and clear photos of the item and packaging.

  • We will arrange a replacement or refund according to our Return & Refund Policy.

Split shipments

  • To reduce transit time, items may ship from different facilities. You may receive multiple packages and tracking emails for one order.

Duties & taxes

  • U.S. orders: applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout.

  • International orders: not available at this time.

Delivery instructions & signatures

  • Carriers may not honor specific delivery instructions (gate codes, porch notes).

  • Signature on delivery is not required by default.

Holiday periods & force majeure

  • High-volume periods, carrier capacity limits, weather events, or other circumstances beyond our control may extend production or transit times.
